Mountains
About
Mountains is an architecture practice heavily interested in how all environments — natural and fabricated — affect our sense of being.
Mountains believes that we build out of necessity as well as pleasure, but that we should take cues from the comfort, simplicity, and wonder that exist already in our natural world.
Julie Christine Perrone, AIA, RA, is an architect, runner, reader, writer, and — most importantly — deeply interested in how both natural and built spaces positively shape our lived experience.
Julie is a licensed, registered Architect in the state of New York and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). She graduated Summa Cum Laude at Tufts University, with two majors in Architectural Studies and French. She completed her Master of Architecture at Columbia University and has since worked in New York City for established firms, including SOM, SO - IL, and Post Company.
She grows from and references her past work to inform her design. Her experience in working with larger teams reinforces her ability to see projects through construction and completion. For an abbreviated résumé of professional work, please see here.
